Registration is now open for the Business Education Partnership Foundation’s STEMEx camp, scheduled for June 12-16 from 8-3 daily. This is a tuition-free summer day camp that introduces students todifferent careers in science, technology, engineering, and math. STEMEx includes tours of local businesses that utilize STEM skills as well as interactive discussions and activities with STEM professionals. Students currently in 6th or 7th grade are eligible to apply for the camp; however, camp space is limited. Applications are due by April 28th, and the link to the application can be found on the guidance page or Mrs. Huffman's page under summer opportunities.
Middle School students - here is a summer volunteer opportunity for you!! The Confucius Institute at MTSU is looking for mentors for middle schools students from China attending a summer school at MTSU. A group of 37 Chinese middle school students will be at MTSU for a two week summer camp. The students last year were 7th through 9th graders. If you are interested in volunteering with this event, see Mrs. Huffman for the contact information.
Seniors- Banquet tickets are on sale now for $25 each. Seniors will attend at no cost but each friend or family member in attendance will need a ticket. See Mrs. Hines, Mr. Nichols, or Mrs. Huffman to purchase your ticket.
Freshmen, Sophomore, and Junior students- if you are interested in running for student body or class office next year, see the student council webpage. All paperwork and posters are due to Mrs. Huffman by 3:00 on Thursday, April 13. Campaigning will NOT take place until May 15. There is a mandatory meeting Wednesday, April 12 in Mrs. Huffman's office. Meeting times are 7:30 am, B lunch, C lunch, and D lunch. Please make sure you attend one of those meetings.
