If you would like to check out books from the CMS Library this summer, please have your parents fill out the summer reading permission form on our website by this Friday, May 12th.

 

All library books are due by Friday. Please return all of your library materials as soon as possible. If you have questions about what you have checked out, please see any teacher or the librarians. Teachers, we need all of your items by Friday, as well. 

 

Your Central baseball Tigers advanced to the 8AA district tourney championship beating Upperman 14-10. Patrick Norman came in to pitch in relief and threw 3 and 2/3 shoutout innings to get the win. Patrick Norman was also 4/4 with 3 RBI. Hunter Jones was 2/3 with 4 RBI and a home run. Wes Duffield was 3/3. The championship game time depends on the other side of the bracket but could be as early as Thursday. 

 

The High School soccer team advanced to the district championship last night by defeating Smith Co. 6-0.  Luis Sanchez led the way with 2 goals.  Also on the scoresheet were Patrick Blair, Stephen Falter, Nick Hamlett, and Elijah Barrit.    Jarod Ball help set up some nice goals and had two assists in the match.  Nathan Clark and Russell Harper maintained the clean sheet in goal.  

 

The team will play on Thursday at 7pm in the district Championship at Smith Co. Soccer Complex.

 

Congratulations to the following members of the tennis team as they placed 1st or 2nd in the district individual tournament:

1st place in men's doubles goes to Chase Owens and Nathan Zou who defeated the doubles team from Macon County 6-2 and 6-0

1st place in women's singles goes to Mamie Sevier who defeated her opponent from Macon County  6-3 an 6-0

In women's doubles it was an all Central affair as the doubles team of Macy Speight and Molly Speight earning 1st places as they defeated the Central team of Sally Smith and Megan Scott 7-6 and 6-0.

 

All of these players earn the right to move on to the individual region tournament on Monday at Champions club in Chattanooga Tennessee.

 

The women's and men's tennis teams will compete in region play tomorrow with the men taking on Signal Mountain at 1:30 EST and the Women taking on Chattanooga Christian at 4:00 EST.

 

Congratulations to all the players on all their hard work.

 

They Lady Tigers ended their season with a 9-6 loss to Livingston last night. They ended up 17-12 in regular season and 18-14 overall.

Great job Lady Tigers!
