Attention all middle school students!!!  Student Council is sponsoring a hurricane relief project and will be collecting school supplies and basic hygiene items over the next two weeks.  Please bring all items to your homeroom teacher, and the homeroom with the most items collected will win a doughnut party.  Collections will run until next Friday.

A fire can breakout with little or no warning. The more prepared you are, the safer you will be. Have a meeting location at school and at home that everyone will gather after a fire evacuation. A meeting location will help you quickly verify that everyone made it out safely.

Teachers,

If you have sixth graders for first period, please report to the auditorium with them by 8:40 for Mr. Schu's presentation.

Seventh and eighth grade students will report to third period, take roll, and then head to the auditorium by 10:20.  Mr. Schu will begin his presentation with seventh and eighth grades right at 10:20.

We will have an ACE Club meeting after school today (Wednesday) in Mrs. Murphy's classroom from 3:00 to 5:00.

"Juniors and Senors interested in joining the Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honors Society...time is running out.  You must have your applications turned in by the end of business on Friday September 29th.  The requirements are that you be a Junior or Senior, have a 3.0 average for your social studies classes, and that you have an overall 3.0 a well.  Email Dr. Edge for an application.  Remember, you need teacher recommendations as well as a short essay. The selection committee is looking forward to reading your essays and applications over Fall Break." "

Attention All Students:

As usual, we will have the option for students to use reading rooms during Friday's spirit day festivities.  There is a sign up for pep rally, morning activities, and afternoon activities.  One is posted upstairs by Mr. Joyce's room for MS and auditorium doors for HS.  Ms. Tipton will take pep rally and morning activities and Ms. Angel for afternoon for middle school.  Dr. Prince will host the pep rally/morning activities and Mr. Horton the afternoon.

The library will be open for book return and checkout only in the morning and afternoon; closed during lunch.  Students should not need to go anywhere while in the reading rooms (except the restroom).  This is not a punishment but an opportunity for students that do not deal with noises or crowds to have a quiet location.  Once a student is in the room they are to remain there until the next activity.  Attendance will be taken in each reading room.

Middle School student council- please come by Mrs. Davis's room, 219, today if you were unable to attend the meeting after school yesterday.

Pig Out is Friday - Please try to bring smaller bills such as 1s, 5s and 10s for lunch so that the booths will have enough change for everyone.

Congratulations to all the students who made the MS or HS swim team last night! Please remember there is a meeting after school today in Coach Cook's room for team members and their parents (Room 242). If you cannot attend, please stop by Coach Cook's room sometime today for some important information.

The Middle School Girls soccer team lost in a very tough game against Blackman 3 to 2.  The game went to the second round of penalty kicks.  Lila Mae Skidmore and Ashleigh Clark each scored a goal, while Ashlynn Jones had 6 saves.

The middle school cross-country team competed in the Rutherford County Championship on Tuesday afternoon. The boys and girls teams each took second place at the meet.

Top finishers of the day were Ian Callender, Ben Clemence, Samantha Ouellette, and Mikayla Morrell.

The team will finish its season on October 7 at the state meet in Clarksville.

The high school volleyball team swept Tullahoma high school last night in three sets to clench first place in the district. This is a first for the program and we are so proud of the team and their accomplishments. They play again Thursday night at Summertown.
