Attention all middle school students!!!  Student Council is sponsoring a hurricane relief project and will be collecting school supplies and basic hygiene items over the next two weeks.  Please bring all items to your homeroom teacher, and the homeroom with the most items collected will win a doughnut party.  Collections will run until next Friday.

 

"Juniors and Senors interested in joining the Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honors Society...time is running out.  You must have your applications turned in by the end of business on Friday September 29th.  The requirements are that you be a Junior or Senior, have a 3.0 average for your social studies classes, and that you have an overall 3.0 a well.  Email Dr. Edge for an application.  Remember, you need teacher recommendations as well as a short essay. The selection committee is looking forward to reading your essays and applications over Fall Break." "

 

All pep band members should report to the band room after announcements to prepare for the pep rally.

 

The 2017-2018 Rock Band list is posted on the music bulletin board outside the Strings room. All student should be at the first rock band meeting on Tuesday October 10th from 3:15-4:00.

 

Attention ALL Beta club members who are interested in going to convention this year.  Over fall break, you need to look at the convention handbook and fill out the interest survey.  Both of these items can be found on the Beta webpage.  

 

 

If you are interested in trying out for middle school girls basketball there will be a try-out at McFadden Monday 10/9 from 3:15-4:45

 

The boys basketball team will host a try out at Central Monday 10/9 from 5-6:30

You must have a completed physical to try out

 

 

 

Congratulations to Beth Nelson and Kaitlin Polly. Beth made the all county volleyball team and Kaitlin was given the All tournament award.

 

 

Attention all Middle and High school swimmers! Please stop by Coach Cook's classroom today in your 5th period study hall to pick up the order form for your team suit. If you don't know your suit size, you will be able to try on suits at that time. 

The high school soccer team defeated Marshall County 8-0 last night.    Emma Bartch led the way with 3 goals and 1 assist.  Jenny Peters, Brooke Dugan, Abagail Sandman, Ella Chesney and Avery Pogue each scored a goal.  
The team will open district tournament play next Thursday or Friday.

 

The girls bowling team picked up their first win of the season yesterday defeating Riverdale 19-9. Alex Johnson, Katelyn McDaniel, Sidney Starling, Ica Bautista, and Carrie Waugh all picked up points in the big district win. The girls are now 1-1 in district play.

 

The boys bowling team kept there streak of not being shut out alive as they dropped their match to a very tough Riverdale team. Andrew Bluerock and Bennett Neu picked up  points and Brandon Poplin bowled his season high game of 124.
