Students taking the PSAT, make sure you find your testing location prior to Wednesday. You can ask any of your teachers for your location, or you can check the auditorium doors. You will report directly to your testing room Wednesday morning. Please bring your calculator and sharpened number two pencils, no mechanical pencils. Testing will be from the high school drop off to the concession stand downstairs and from Ms. Baty's room to Ms. Quinn and Ms. Taylors hallway upstairs. Students, you will not be able to go to your locker if they are in that area until fifth period. 

 

College Corner will host University of Alabama, University of Alabama at Birmingham, and Western Kentucky.

 

"Students participating in the Lego League will have their first meeting today. Please, meet Mrs. DaSilva and Mrs. Kime at the upstairs teacher lounge immediately after school."

 

The 2017 2018 rock band list is posted on the Music bulletin board outside the strings room in the annex. All students who were excepted into the rock band should be at the initial meeting tomorrow Tuesday October 10th from 315 to 345 in the band room. Instruments will not be needed.

 

Attention all middle and high school swimmers: If you have not stopped by Coach Cook's classroom to pick up a swim suit order form, please do so today in your 5th period study hall. If you do not know your swim suit size, you can be fitted at that time. 

 

 

The high school girls soccer team fell to Tullahoma 3-1 last night in the district tournament.  Madison Beckman scored the goal and Avery Pogue had 7 saves in goal.  A Big Congrats to Lauren Sanchez and Katie Kerr being named 1st team all-district, and  to Jenny Peters for being named to the 2nd team!

 

The girls and boys middle school cross-country teams competed at the TMSAA State Championship over Fall Break.

 

The girls are proud to announce that they are state runners-up in Class A. The girls who represented Central Magnet were Samantha Ouellette, Mikayla Morrell, Taylor Walker, Caroline Humphries, Claudia Mitchell, Ella Anderson, and Amelia Worsley.

 

The boys finished a hard-fought season, taking 3rd place at state. Boys runners were Ian Callendar, Blake Yuenger, Ben Clemence, Tony Peck, Jackson McGuire, Brady Loughry, and Vinny Peck.

 

Central Trap Team made up of John David Blankenship Jimmy Jones Andrew Telford Ben Blaylock and Will Stallings finished first Saturday at Big Springs gun club.

John David finished 1st and Jimmy Jones tied for second. 

 

The high school volleyball team had a busy and productive break finishing second in the silver bracket at the mid ten tournament and then second in the district tournament. Kendall Hughes, Mary Catherine Smith, Mia Nicholson and Lorna Hedges were named to the all district team and Kendall Hughes, Mary Catherine Smith and Lorna Hedges were named to the all tournament team. The team plays Hume Fogg
Tuesday night at 5 in the first round of region play. 

 

Due to rain on Tuesday, MS golf tryouts will be held at Bloomfield Links at 3:30 Thursday afternoon.
