There will be a Middle School Track and Field interest meeting for runners and parents on Monday October 16 beginning at 3:30 in Mr. Meadows' class. That room number is 241.

Ten Minute Play auditions are today after school and tomorrow during C& D lunch in Mrs. Winton's room. Room #344 in the annex.  Auditions are for high school only and all shows are directed by Mrs. Winton's Theatre Three Class.  There is no preparation needed for auditions.  Just come and have fun.

The Interact Club is currently conducting a Halloween Costume Drive for the Domestic Violence Shelter here in Murfreesboro. Please donate your gently used or new children's Halloween costumes anytime between now and next Friday, October 27th. You can drop them off in room 219. THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Congratulations to the high school cross country teams for incredibly strong showings at this weekend's Midstate Cross Country Association Championships.

The Varsity boys captured 4th place in the large school division, powering ahead of powerhouses like Riverdale, Oakland, Brentwood, Wilson Central, and Page.  Sophomore Fuji Anday led the streak of Tigers with a time of 16:35, while senior Jordan Shirley was next with a time of 17:36 on this horrifically challenging course in Dickson.  Varsity girls captured 5th place, also finishing ahead of running powerhouses like Riverdale, Oakland, Page, and Cookeville.  Camille was the top finisher for the Lady Tigers with a time of 19:32.

Just as exciting were the JV races.  The boys JV team captured the team title with our Tiger striders finishing in four of the top five spots.  Sophomores Landry Wells and Ethan Penney led the way with times of 17:56 and 18:11, respectively.  8th grader Samantha Ouellette captured the JV individual meet title in a time of 20:49.

Your cross country teams return to action on Thursday, October 26th in Columbia at the Region 4 Championships, in hopes of qualifying for state once again.  Be sure to congratulate these Tigers and wish them luck on the next leg of the season journey!
