Central Magnet Middle School Boys Soccer 23-24

 

                The CMS Middle School Boys Soccer season will begin on Thursday, February 1, 2024. We will have tryouts on that Thursday and Friday with the team being announced on Friday evening on the roster page.  We are fortunate to have Coach Jones working with us again this year as an assitant coach. As we begin this season, there are some expectations that each potential player and family should understand.

 

•       Tryouts will focus on skills, agility, and speed.
•       Players should understand that they will play in a position that best benefits the team (even if you play another position for another team).
•      There will be a team fee of $85 for each player. This will include 2 game passes.
•      All players are expected to attend all practices and games unless an absence has been discussed and agreed upon with the coaches. We realize that some players will play on both school and travel teams, but it is expected that your school team games will be the priority during the week.
•      Players will be responsible for their own transportation to each game.
•      We will practice for 4 days per week (Mon – Thurs) until the games begin. Once the games begin, we will move to 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays) unless circumstances require a change in practice days.
•      Practices will begin at 3:15pm and will end at 5:00pm. Most games will begin at 4:30pm.
