HIGH SCHOOL CHEER INFORMATION
Spring Tryout information for the 2024-2025 Season
The mandatory parent meeting for cheer will be on March 19th, 2024 in the senior cafeteria from 6-7 PM. One parent and the student-athlete should be in attendance. (Some students receive acceptance letters later than this date. If you miss the parent meeting, email me at [email protected] and we can meet separately.)
All students MUST be 100% complete in FinalForms to try out.
Open Gyms for tryouts: April 1, 8, 15, 22, from 6-7 (This time may change- I will post here by the end of Feb. if it does). We will spend the first two days we will be working on stunting basics. We will pay our annual fee to Premier of $50. The open gym costs $55 for the 4 open gym days. Stunting will be judged at Premier. I'll add your stunt score to your cheer, dance, jump, and tumbling score (if applicable) for your tryout total.

The last 2 days of tryouts will be on April 25th and 26th at Central Magnet HS in the gym from 3-6:30. If you will be coming from another school, please email me, and I'll excuse you if you need to be tardy due to a later dismissal at your current school.
Tryout results will be posted within 48 hours of the tryout.
Mandatory camp dates (Please do not try out if you cannot attend):
Choreography dates July 21st and 22nd at Premier Athletics AND UCA stunt Camp dates: July 11th-12th at Central Magnet. *Choreography and UCA camp times may vary- Don't schedule anything on these days.
Practice days: Monday from 6 pm-8 pm, Wednesdays 5 pm-7 pm (some days we will practice from 3-5 on Wednesdays), and Thursdays from 6:30 pm- 8:30 pm
Please come by Coach Griggs's room (335) for information on tryouts (after March 1st). The tryout paperwork will be posted here after March 15th. Please fill out the necessary pages and bring them to room 335. This is due by April 24th.
