Scott Culp, SRO

I started my career in law enforcement as a corrections officer in Logan County, Ohio, in January of 1991.  I graduated the police academy in 1992 and became a D.A.R.E. officer in 1993.  While in Ohio I was certified as a composite artist and a forensic re-constructionist.  In July of 2001 I was hired by the Rutherford County Sheriff and moved with my family to Rutherford County, Tennessee, and began my job as a School Resource Officer at Barfield School.  I was assigned to Christiana Middle School at its opening in 2004 and transferred to Central Magnet School when it opened in 2010.  I'm currently assigned as the SRO at Central Magnet School and am assigned to the Rutherford County sheriff's mounted patrol division.

RAPTOR - for admitttance to school
In an attempt to keep our school safe, visitors to Central Magnet School are required to present a government issued photo ID before they can be allowed into the building during school hours.  Central Magnet is utilizing the Raptor Visitor Management System.  Raptor instantly screens out registered sex offenders from campuses with children while managing custody issues, visitors, students, faculty and volunteers. We feel certain this will help us keep our campus a little safer, and ask for your cooperation in presenting your valid state issued ID when checking in at the school. Thank you in advance for your help in this matter.

PARENTS -

Please do not drop your child off in the middle of the street.  For your child's safety, we ask that you pull over out of the lane of traffic before allowing your child to exit the vehicle.
