General Music

  • a piece of notebook paper (music staff paper will be provided by the teacher when needed, please don't buy it)
  • a pencil
Description:
6th grade Exploratory General Music is one of the four 9 week rotations. During this period the students will learn basics of how to read and write music, audience etiquette and behavior, and introduction to musical instruments. We will mainly cover the types of musical instruments they can learn how to play when they enroll in one of our beginning performance classes, such as Beginning String Orchestra or Beginning Band. The students will listen to variety of different instruments, and learn about how they are made and used.
