Welcome to the CMS Theatre!! I would like to formally introduce myself. My name is Brittany Andersen, my students call me "Miss Andy" or "Andy" or "Miss Andersen" (I answer to all of them). I'm a Utah native, and have lived in Nashville/Middle Tennessee since 2010. I am a singer/songwriter, an actor, a director, an educator, and a dog mom to a cute Chiweenie named "Taco"!
I've been an educator for 10 years, and I am thrilled to start working with CMS's incredible student body. When I'm not teaching, I'm working on music, doing yoga, playing shows, hanging out with my pup, or acting with local theatres (most recently playing "Lina Lamont" Cannon County Arts production of Singing In The Rain). I hold several degrees in theatre and education, the highest being my post-graduate, Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Leadership. I am extremely passionate about the arts, education, and the value these courses and these experiences are for students.
This school year at Central, we will see the very first Middle School Musical, a Fall play and Spring musical for our High School students.
This page will help you navigate your way through this year of theatre. Each course has its own page, calendar, and links. Please utilize those as often as possible to help you stay up to date for all the things!
Also, any show announcements, auditions, rehearsal calendars, and rehearsal changes will be reflected on this main page, and on the "productions" link to the right.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me. (andersEnb@rcschools.net
I'm looking forward to a very productive year full of collaboration, creativity, and intellectual imagination at CMS.
Thank you,
Brittany B. Andersen, Ed.S.
