We are the Central division of March for Our Lives, a national student led organization created after the tragic shooting in Parkland, Florida. There are goals to work towards on the State and National levels, most importantly taking preventative action to ensure that not one more life is taken because of gun violence, whether that means advocating for gun safety regulations, pushing for access to mental health treatment, or encouraging America’s youth to vote. We will also work to accomplish similar goals here in our community, like partnering with preexisting Central clubs and community organizations to promote nonviolence and civic engagement, advocating for proper firearm safety and storage, and volunteering at events that are relevant to the March for Our Lives cause. Everyone is welcome to attend club meetings, but it is important that if you show up, you are there to listen and to be respectful. Continuously showing up for the express purpose of harassing club leaders and members in order to impede progress will not be tolerated. Any after school meetings or out of school events will be discussed during club rotation meetings. Thank you, and we hope to see you there!
