AP European History

AP European History examines the political, social, artistic, and economic developments that occurred in and shaped Europe from approximately 1450-Present. The course looks at the rediscovery of classical art and philosophy in the Renaissance, the development of powerful and centralized nation-states in the 18th and 19th centuries, the social and intellectual changes that rocked the 19th century, the cataclysms of the 20th century, and the rebuilding of Europe in the post-war era. Students in this class will develop and utilize historical skills such as close document reading, persuasive argumentative writing, and valuation or information and sources.
Parental involvement is an important component of education and parents should review the Course and Exam Description above. Course content begins at page 24, for ease of reference.
