Check out the Rutherford County 4-H website for county events!
4-H stands for Head, Heart, Hands, and Health. The mission of Tennessee 4-H is to provide research-based Extension educational experiences that will stimulate young people to gain knowledge, develop life skills, and form positive attitudes to prepare them to become capable, responsible and compassionate adults. During our first meeting a 4-H extension agent will discuss all the different opportunities available in 4-H. Then we will poll the club members to determine the focus of the year. Some of the activities may include science experiments, engineering activities, and hatching eggs. Students may choose other 4-H extra-curricular activities that take place outside of the 4-h club at school. The activities are located at the 4-H extension agency. They include Shooting Sports, 4-H Leadership, Chick Chain, Poultry Club, Sewing club, Horse Club, Garden Club, Cooking Club, and many other activities. These groups usually meet monthly outside of the school at the 4-H extension office and fees for such activities may vary.
Cost: There are no membership fees or costs for participation in the Central school club.
