Women make up half the overall work force, but women currently make up only twenty-seven percent of STEM workers, a statistic that is skewed toward a male dominated field. The Society of Women Engineers is a nationally run group that encourages women to pursue career fields in STEM. During our time in this club, we will learn new skills in physics, mechatronics and other disciplines of science and math as well as progress skills in construction and design. The club rotation Society of Women Engineers occurs on D rotation, and it is open to all grade levels in both middle and high school. We will be trying to meet occasionally on days between club time, but attendance is optional, so feel free to show up and have fun!

The website for the SWE organization is https://swe.org/ . Here you can find many resources for learning and scholarships.

If you would like to join, just show up to the meetings.
