A little about me...
I was raised in Woodbury, TN. Just down the road. And grew up in the theatre....and I mean that literally. I was onstage at 3 months old, took naps in the lobby during rehearsals, and directed my first show before I could drive. I met my husband through theatre when we were pre-schoolers. We have one son and one daughter. Don't be surprised if you see one of them on my hip during a curtain speech. As you can see, for me theatre means family. And that is how I run my program and view my students.
I attended Samford University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Technical Theatre in 2005. Then later attended Belmont University and received my Master of Arts in Teaching in 2011. I have been at Central Magnet School my entire teaching career and am proud to be an original faculty member. I am truly blessed to be in such a wonderful environment.
At Central Magnet School I serve as the Theatre teacher and we produce a multitude of performances each year including a mainstage musical, at least one student directed show, a theatre one production, ten minute play festival, and musical theatre showcases. I am also the Senior Beta sponsor and proud to have such an outstanding club of students dedicated to exceptional academics, character, leadership and service. #beta4life
