Frequently Asked Questions

"How do I do this week's AoW?"
(Hint: every week it's the same answer)
  1. Read the article
  2. Think about the information you just read.
  3. Write about what you learned, what you liked, or how the article made you feel. Did anything jump out at you? Did anything surprise you? Are you going to change something about yourself after reading? Any of these things are acceptable for ANY AoW. You never HAVE to write an argument. Just write about what you've read.
  4. Make sure you have written enough to comply with this 9 week's word limit.
  5. Make sure you include all necessary pieces of text evidence. Use a tag such as "According to the text" or "The author states that" when you use each piece. If you know the person your are quoting's name, use their name instead of "the author". Highlight all pieces of text evidence yellow.
