If you would like to join HOSA this year, dues are $30 to cover HOSA member fees and a club t-shirt. Dues can be paid in cash or with a check made out to Central Magnet HOSA and must be submitted by September 1st to Mrs. Harrison or Mrs. Hendrixson in the annex. Remember, you must have completed and selected YES on the opt-in form prior to submitting these dues to be a HOSA member. Please see Mrs. Harrison or Mrs. Hendrixson with any questions!
The Psychology National Honor Society, Psi Alpha, will be accepting officer and membership applications. Officer Applications are Due by Sept. 1st and membership applications are due by Sept.22nd. You can find the membership requirements and information on the Psi Alpha webpage. We will have a brief informational meeting if you would like to attend next Wednesday, 3-3:30 in room 338. High School Students – You can now sign up for the PSAT Test! The test will be given during the school day on Wednesday, October 11. The cost to sign up is $18 and you can pay in attendance. You may also pay online but there will be a service charge bringing your cost to $19. You may sign up from August 18-September 1. If you have any questions about the PSAT, see your guidance counselor, attendance, or Mrs. Huffman.
The last day to drop a class to honors or to drop an elective for a study hall is this Friday, September 1. Please pick up a schedule change form outside of Guidance if needed.
College Corner will host our representative from the United States Naval Academy during C/D lunch (12:30-1:30). Please stop by and say hello and pick up some information!
Middle School students! Auditions for Frozen Jr are on Wednesday, August 30. Please make sure to sign up for a vocal audition slot using the hyperlink on Mrs. Sweet's website. You will also find the audition packet with all information regarding auditions and what to expect. Please read it carefully. Audition song cuts and audition forms are printed and available outside Mrs. Sweet's room in the annex room 344. Please make sure to bring your audition form completed with you to the audition.
Attention Seniors: The Dollywood field trip is September 22. Please get permission forms from your English Teacher. The notarized form and your money is due to Dr. Guthrie no later than September 13th.

Congratulations to the middle school lady tigers on their big win last week against Christiana. Emery Bland and Norah Clancy led the team in aces and kills and Kait Friedenreich scored the two game-winning serves. This team also beat Rock Springs last night in 2 sets, with Emery Bland and Laney Hatfield leading the varsity team in aces. Emma Walker led the JV team to victory as well with 4 aces in both sets. The lady tigers take on Smyrna at home on Wednesday at 4:30. Students get in for free, so be sure to come out and support your middle school lady tigers.
