The following students need to visit the book fair sometime today to pick up your prize for entering our book fair contests: Ava Jarrett, Lena Cloud, Ava Oliva, Autumn Cushingham, and Reagan Mitchell. 

Students planning on getting their driver's permit over Fall Break need to pick up the SF1010 form in the Attendance office. 

Students, please do not park in the back parking lot on Thursday, Sept. 28th due to the Fall Festival activities. 

SNHS will be hosting Dr. Higgins from MTSU today during CT in the senior cafeteria to speak about his radio telescope and the fascinating field of radio astronomy. All students with an interest in science are free to attend; must sign up in Flex! Snacks will be provided. 

Spirit Day is Friday, September 29th!  High School will be playing Ultimate Frisbee.  We need 2 teams from each grade level.  Each team can have 10 players - 5 girls and 5 boys.  If you want to play, the permission slips are on the student council website (or linked here: https://rcschools-my.sharepoint.com/:w:/g/personal/hinese_rcschools_net/Edika0Z3EZlBpyhEcMCkALYBITE6EXnvCpi0mgmwB60zvA?e=OGOhLq).  Teams must submit all of their permission slips at one time.  Permission slips are due to Dr. Hines by 3:00pm on Wednesday, September 27th.

If you would like to attend a reading room on Friday during Spirit Day activities, the signups are in Flex!!  You must sign up before Thursday at 12:00 pm.  Make sure you sign up for the correct time and grade level reading room.  If you want to be in a reading room during multiple activities, you must sign up for each room separately in Flex.  If you have questions, ask your teacher or email Dr. Hines. 

The CMS Coffee Shop is back up and running. We will be open on Wednesday and Friday of this week. Hours 7:15 a.m. to 7:50 a.m. Please help support our DECA chapter. We will sell iced and hot coffee, hot chocolate and cookies. We accept cash and debit/credit cards.   

Psi Alpha is looking for new members! Psi Alpha is an honor society for students with an interest in psychology. To join, you must have passed the AP Psychology Exam and maintained a 3.0 GPA. You can find the application along with more information on the Psi Alpha website linked in the club directory. All applications are due by October 16th! If you’ve already applied, look for an email in your personal account with further registration instructions.    

Come out to the Fall High School Choir Concert "True to Black and Gold" on September 28th at 7:00 pm. Support our choir students as the Varsity Choir, Show Choir, and student soloists perform the music of the season! Admission is free, and donations are accepted. 

Attention boba lovers! The Boba Bar will be selling bubble tea at Pig Out this Friday! Come prepared to purchase some delicious boba and support the Central Magnet orchestra! 

Middle school kickball parent permission forms are due TODAY by 3 pm. These should be submitted to your science teacher.

4th place - Juniors  

3rd place - Sophomores 

2nd place - Seniors 

In 1st place - Freshmen with 60% participation  

For Middle School  

3rd place - 6th grade  

2nd place - 7th grade  

in 1st place - 8th grade with 64% participation  

High School Tennis will have an interest meeting on Thursday September 28th at 6:30 pm in the senior cafeteria. Please enter through the event entrance near the soccer fields. Try outs will be in October with dates to be announced on the websites soon. If you are interested in the meeting but unable to attend, please see Coach Angel in room 206 or email her. 

The middle school boys basketball team will be having tryouts, for anyone that was not able to attend the spring tryout, on Tuesday Nov. 10 at CMS. 3:00-4:30. 

We will sell Smoothies at all four lunches on Friday.  We will have Lemon Twist Strawberry, Angel Food, and Strawberry Kiwi.  Bring $6 and support your HS cheer squad. 

The official Swim team meeting with be held after school today, Wednesday, September 27 in the cafeteria. Both swimmers and parents will be required to attend. Contact Coach O'Hara if you have any questions.  

Attention all MS girls. Tryouts for MS girls' basketball will be Monday, Oct. 9th from 5:45-7pm here at CMS. Make sure you have completed all forms in "Final Forms" If you have questions please see Coach Bush. 

The Tiger Bowling team fell to Stewarts Creek yesterday but were led by solid performances from senior Gracee Carmichael's scores of 201 and 200 and senior Catie Waugh's 179 and 172. Senior Kaylee Victory won a point for Central as did freshman Micah Bennett. 

Last night your high school Lady Tigers soccer team battled it out against Rockvale for senior night. Our girls brought home the win with a final score of 3-1.  

 The first goal of the evening was scored by Julia Ann Hamilton with an assist from Josie Bush. Julia Ann also scored the second goal of the evening with an assist by Claudia Mitchell. Maddie Degnan scored the third goal of the evening unassisted.  

Great job ladies!  

After a win against Blackman last night, the boys tennis team is 8 and 0 for the season while The girls are 5 and 3 following their loss, with one regular season match left this Thursday versus Dekalb County.  

The high school volleyball team wrapped up District play on Tuesday night against community with a 3-0 victory. The win earned the Tigers the number one seed in next weeks district tournament. The Tigers were led by senior Noella, Obi's 20 kills. Emma Grace Smith had 14 digs and Grace Martindale had 12. 

The volleyball team will close out the regular season on Thursday night against Siegel high school here at home. Stripe squad members are invited to enjoy a grilled burger as we hope to “char the stars.”
