On Friday, the regional National history day competition was held at MTSU. Central magnet brought home 10 individual and group awards with nine students advancing to the state competition In April. Congratulations to the following students who won in their category!

Attention High Schoolers! Do you need help with your resume? Come to National English Honor Society's Resume Workshop to get help with your resume--no matter what stage it is or what it is for! We will be holding an info session Monday, March 11th during Central Time and then a peer-tutoring session on Thursday, March 14th during Central Time. Sign up for one or both sessions in Flex! Attention all middle school and high school students! The theatre student led one act auditions are next week! Theatre 4 students have been hard at work developing their own one act plays and are eager for you all to audition and be a part of their production! Auditions are next Wednesday, February 28 from 3:15- 5:15 in Mrs. Sweet's room, Annex 344. Callbacks will be Friday, March 1 from 3:15-5:00pm if necessary. That will be communicated by the end of auditions on Wednesday. Any Central middle or high school student can audition. You DO NOT have be in a theatre class to audition. Please go to Mrs. Sweet's website for all information and make sure to click on the hyperlink that is the audition form and fill it out before attending auditions on Wednesday. The high school volleyball team is hosting a Spirit night at Blaze Pizza on Monday 2/26 from 5-9 pm. Blaze will be donating a portion of the evenings proceeds to our volleyball team. Stop by to dine in or place a to-go order and let them know you are there to support Central. There is a code on the volleyball website you can use for mobile ordering. Thank you for your support!

HS Cheer will sell smoothies at lunch on Friday.

The Lady Tigers season came to end last Friday in tough loss to Stone Memorial. The Lady Tigers were led in scoring by Addison Melton with 17pts, Julia Stuible added 8pts, Madisen Stanley finished with 6pts, Bethany Jackson had 5pts and Reilly McMillian finished with 4pts. The Lady Tigers finished the season with their 3rd consecutive 20-win season. In addition, Addison Melton became the schools all-time leading scorer with 1,942pts. We would like to thank Addison and Reilly for their enormous contributions over the past years and wish them luck in their future endeavors. We would also like to thank the terrific support from our student body not only last Friday but all season! We have the greatest student body in Tennessee!!

The Central Magnet Men's basketball's season came to an end on Saturday night when they lost to Stone Memorial High School in the 1st round of the Region 4 Tournament by a score of 60-53.

The Tigers were led in scoring by Mason Brown with 17 points, Will Becker with 13 points, Jake Maddox 9 points and 7 rebounds, Owen Zubkus with 9 points and 6 rebounds, and Carson Wood chipped in 7 points.

This senior class closes out their careers with the most wins by a 4 year class in men's basketball as well as having the men's all-time leading scorer in Mason Brown.

The Tiger Basketball team would like to thank all the students and faculty for their support throughout this season.

The CMS Latin Club competed at TN Junior Classical League mid-state on Friday, and boy, did they clean up in the academic categories! Every student who tested placed in at least one of the 6 categories. Several placed in all 6. The winners were: Daehyn Cho, Elizabeth Dawit, Teagan Hays, Jaxson McClellan, Sama Morgan, Rachel Parsille, Adeline Scott, Ahana Sen, Mo Talafuse, Tommy Westerman, Zoey Boston, Ethan Brite, Havilynn Burton, Gao JianJian, Luca Guevart, Meridian Jackson, Maddy Sample, Isabella Tan, Eli Bauer, Cooper Blakley, Van Breedlove, Elle Cumming, John Gamble, Mason McConnell, Kelsey Martinez, Jacob Preku, Summer Yun, and Dexter Trageser.
