The junior class will be taking the ACT at school on Tuesday, March 12th. You may leave after the test as long as you have PRIOR parental permission. Your English teachers will be distributing the permission form. They will also be available in the attendance office and on the website. Please turn in these forms to your English teacher by Monday the 11th. We are unable to take phone calls or texts the day of the test.

The library will be closed today to set up the book fair. Please make a plan to print and check out books before this Friday.

Anime Club is planning a field trip to the Middle Tennessee Anime Convention on March 30th! If you are interested in joining, please stop by Ms. Andrews's room Rm 114 to pick up a permission slip. Remember, only club members who have paid their club dues can attend. The cost to attend is $50 for the all-day Saturday pass + money for lunch. We will leave Saturday at 7:30 AM and return Saturday at 7:30 PM. Please turn in all fieldtrip funds and money by March 15th.

Do you need to earn more service hours? Join the Forestry Conservation Club for Tree Day 2024! We will be fulfilling tree orders here at CMS on Saturday, March 16, and you can sign up to help from 7-11, 11-3, or both shifts! Scan the QR code on the website or posted around school to sign up.

Don't forget to sign up for the National English Honor Society Resume Workshop! It is available to any high schooler who is interested. Sign-ups are in Flex. There will be an info session on Monday, March 11th and then a workshop on Thursday, March 14th. Email Mrs. Eubanks or Mrs. Nau with questions!

Happy Music in Schools Month! Tri-M Music Honor Society will be selling music Grams during lunch starting Monday March 11. You simply write the name of the person you want to send it to and their sixth period on the provided card with the name of a song that reminds you of them. It only costs one dollar! If you would like a customizable one with a lyric from the song and an album cover on it that will be five dollars and you can also order them at the table during lunch. Remember to keep it school appropriate.

HOSA members, if you did not pick up your t-shirt from Mrs. Hendrixson in room 345 yesterday during CT, please plan to get it today during your 6th period study hall time.

Middle School will be playing capture the flag on the Spring Spirit Day. Permission forms are available in your science teacher's classroom & on the middle school student council website. The forms must be signed and returned to your science teacher by Friday, March 15th. The 1st 6 boys & 6 girls from each grade to turn in the forms will play & all others will be alternates.

Middle School: permission forms for capture the flag are due this Friday. Team members will be chosen in the order in which forms are received. See your science teacher or the student council website for a form.

The musical theatre club will have a performance this Friday at 7pm. These students have been rehearsing over the last few weeks with musical numbers from a variety of musicals. Admission is free so make sure to come check it out!

Middle School Tigers baseball opened the season yesterday with an 8 to 2 victory over the Thurman Francis Rams.

 

Braylon Dowell lead the Tigers hitting going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI. 6 other players chipped in with one hit a piece.

Elijah Bonner pitched 3 innings in relief of Brayden Yates the starter on the mound and got the win. Carter Shelton pitched the last inning closing out the victory.

The Tigers play Varsity and JV tomorrow at home vs Rocky Fork middle school
