The following students answered all of the Percy Jackson trivia correctly on Monday at the book fair! Please come by the library sometime today for your prize! Alefya Arif, Cooper Olsen, Bridget Millsaps, Aubrey Walters, and Ruby Gaither.

The winners of find the lightning bolt competition at the book fair Monday are Josie Bush, Taylor Kline, Sadie Call, Leena Tobasei, and Harper Patterson.

Students - if you have a writing lab appointment scheduled for Thursday, March 14th, your appointment will actually take place Wednesday, March 13th due to this week's modified schedule. Check your email for more details. Reach out to a writing lab tutor or Mrs. Eubanks with questions.

Attention High Schoolers! If you need or want help with your resumes--for jobs, scholarships, or college--sign up in Flex for the Resume Workshop that will meet Thursday during CT in Mrs. Eubanks's room (room 104)! You will get some one-on-one help with your resume, no matter what state it is in (even if you haven't started yet)!

Anime Club is planning a field trip to the Middle Tennessee Anime Convention on March 30th! If you are interested in joining, please stop by Ms. Andrews's room Rm 114 to pick up a permission slip. Remember, only club members who have paid their club dues can attend. The cost to attend is $50 for the all-day Saturday pass + money for lunch. We will leave Saturday at 7:30 AM and return Saturday at 7:30 PM. Please turn in all fieldtrip funds and money by March 15th.

Middle School: permission forms for capture the flag are due this Friday. Team members will be chosen in the order in which forms are received. See your science teacher or the student council website for a form.

Do you need to earn more service hours? Join the Forestry Conservation Club for Tree Day 2024! We will be fulfilling tree orders here at CMS on Saturday, March 16, and you can sign up to help from 7-11, 11-3, or both shifts! Scan the QR code on the website or posted around school to sign up.

Anime Club is excited to announce its first Naruto run this spring during Pig-Out. There will be one race for 6th-8th graders and one for 9th-12th graders. The cost to enter the race is $2. The first-place winner of each race will receive a $20 Amazon gift card. 2nd and 3rd place winners will get to choose one item from the club's anime loot, such as anime t-shirts, headbands, jewelry, and more. Please stop by Ms. Andrews's room (Rm 114) to pick up a permission form. All permission slips and money are due by Friday, March 15th.

Any HOSA member who is attending the state convention in Chattanooga over spring break must have both travel forms returned to Mrs. Harrison by Monday, March 18th. If you still need the forms or are missing one, you can pick extra copies up outside of Mrs. Harrison's classroom, which is room 348 in the annex.

After Prom tickets for Juniors, Seniors, and their guests are available ONLINE and IN PERSON Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during C & D lunch now through Pig Out.  Tickets are $25 each. New this year - For every 100 After Prom tickets registered and sold by Pig Out, a Golden Ticket Prize Drawing will be held among CMS Juniors and Senior ticket holders.  The first prize is a $25 Hattie Jane’s gift card.  The earlier you get your ticket, the more drawings you’ll be in, so register today! 

Attention students:  We will be opening concessions Tuesday 3/19 and Thursday 3/21 for everyone.  Plan now!  Lots of sodas, hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, and candy to sell!

9th graders:  Check your email for scheduling information.  The counselors will be registering 9th graders March 13-22.  All 9th graders need to make an appointment with their counselor.

Any rising 6th, 7th, or 8th grader interested in trying out for Middle School cheer for the 24-25 school year, may see Mrs. Burns' room (225) to pick up an information packet. Packets will also be available at the Middle School open house on Tuesday March 12th. The interest meeting will be held on March 18th at 630 in the Senior Cafeteria. A parent and athlete must attend in order to tryout.

HS Cheer will sell smoothies at lunch on Friday.

The MS Tiger Golf team had its first match on Monday vs Siegel and Blackman.  The girls came in first with JianJian Gao shooting the low at 51.  The boys came in 2nd with Justin Grissom shooting the low of 41. 

The men's High School soccer team opened the season up at home against Independence High School.  The team fell 3-0 but jump right back on the field tonight vs. Smyrna here at 5pm tonight.  Central students get in free.

High school softball dropped to 1-1 after an 18-5 loss to a good Community squad. Senior Gracee Carmichael picked up a hit and walk and scored 2 runs. Freshman Paige Simmons chipped in a triple and scored a run. Tigers return to action Thursday night at Cannon County. Game time will be 6:30.
