Middle school science olympiad- we will meet in Ms. Lane's room NOT the computer lab after school on Thursday from 3- 4 pm.  

 

Middle School Students: The National Geographic Bee's preliminary round will be held this Thursday, during 6th period, in Coach Burns' classroom (room 202). The list of competitors should be posted in your social studies teacher's room. You need to make arrangements with your 6th period teachers to make up for any work you miss. 

 

You're a Good Man Charlie Brown opens tomorrow!  Starring Elisha McFarlin, Becca Brackett, Nolan Ragland, Hannah Guthrie, Sevon Askew & Julia Kelley.  The show is directed by Alaina Surgener and Baylee Hayes.  Shows are Thursday through Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 2pm.  Tickets are $10 for Adults and $5 for students.  Hope to see you there!

The Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors is offering a scholarship to seniors who choose to attend an accredited 2-year or 4-year college in the fall whose campus is located within one of the 8 MTAR counties, (Bedford, Cannon, Coffee, Franklin, Grundy, Marion, Moore, and Rutherford). The deadline to apply is April 3 by 4:30p.m. Please see your counselor for an application or questions.

Testing will take place in Room 210 immediately after school today, Wednesday, January 11 and again tomorrow, Thursday, January 12.  If you don't test on these dates, you will not compete at the District conference. 

 

Don't forget to enter to win tickets to meet Veronica Roth. To enter, follow the library twitter feed, like the pinned post about the event, and check out a book this week. You have until Friday at 3:15 to enter. The winner will be announced Tuesday morning. 

 

 

The deadline to register for the ACT for the Feb 11 test is this Friday January 13th.

 

Attention Juniors (rising seniors):  The Guidance Department will begin scheduling current juniors for next year's classes on Thursday this week. Please sign up for an appointment via the Sign Up Genius link that was emailed to your family or search Signupgenius.com for your counselor's name. PLEASE have your course request worksheet filled out before your appointment. We will begin calling students in on Jan. 17 who have not made an appointment. The window will close Jan. 20 for this group.

 

The Lady Tigers rallied late to tie the game but lost a heartbraker to Livingston Academy, 55-54. Maddie Sandman led the Lady Tigers with 20 and got 11 from Ashley Dyer and 10 from Sydney Smith. 

The Men's basketball team defeated Livingston Academy 50-47 last night to earn a district win and it was the first time in school history that the Tigers have defeated Livingston Academy. The Tigers were led by Patrick Blair with 14 points, Will Carver with 12 points, and Nick Hamlett chipped in 8 points.

The Tigers are next in action on Friday when they travel to Cannon County to take on the Lions.
