Lee University is hosting Link-Up, an information session for prospective students, applicants, and parents on Monday, March 6 at Franklin Marriott Cool Springs. There will be a $1000 scholarship drawing. See Guidance for more information.

 

Class of 2017 – please remember to complete the Tennessee Scholars Survey by March 1st to enter a drawing for $ 100.00.  The survey may be found on the home page of the Tennessee Scholars website.

 

Congratulations to juniors Eshan Patel and Edgar Lozano.  They will be representing CMS at a Student Congress on Policies in Education conference at MTSU on March 7th.  Students from across the state will meet to discuss current topics in education.

 

The Miracle Worker opens Thursday and runs through Saturday @7 and Sunday @ 2. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Adults $10 and Students $5. We hope to see you there. 

 

Congratulations to the middle school science olympiad team who placed 5th at the MTSU Regional tournament on Saturday!  Almost all students who competed in events placed and received a medal.  They will be competing at the state tournament in Knoxville, TN on March 25.  Best of luck! 

 

 

The Middle School Boys soccer team won their first preseason game by defeating Cascade Middle School 9 to 0.  Jordan McGoffin scored 3 goals, Wills McAdams scored 2 goals, while Tyler Stout, Miles Lee, Julian McMillan and Clay Thompson each scored 1.  Jordan McGoffin, Jorge Graniel and Chris Norman each had an assist.  The next preseason game is here, Tuesday February 28th against Siegel.   

 

 

The CMS Archery Teams competed in the Mossy Oak Tournament on Saturday against over 900 archers from 5 states.  The MS team placed 3rd just 50 points behind 1st place Stewarts Creek MS and the HS Team placed 2ndjust 45 points behind the Carolina Warriors, who are the defending South Carolina State Champions.  Individually, CMS was represented by Grace Towle placing 2nd in the MS Female division along with Kaylie Corban placing 4th and Alison Blanton placing 1st in the HS Female Division.  Alison Blanton also was the top overall archer with a score of 292, winning a new bow for that honor.  The archery teams will travel to White County HS on Saturday to shoot in a tournament.
