UNICEF will be having a movie night in the auditorium this Friday, April 28th at 4:30. They will be showing Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. It is free to attend, but bring money to buy Harry Potter-themed concessions. They hope to see you there.

 

 

College Fair will be Tuesday, May 2 from 5:30-7:00 pm in the cafeteria. Please make plans to attend.

 

 

The Central Night at the Arts is next Thursday May 4th. This event is free. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Students who want to read a poem must sign-up beforehand in Annex 335 to read.

 

All students who are not testing will remain in their 1st period class during testing.

Library is closed during this time.

After testing, students will report to periods 3-7 in that order.

 

 

Today is the last day for new National English Honor Society members to turn in their dues to Mrs. Esberger or Ms. Morris. 

 

The Lady Tigers softball team split with Livingston Academy last night. They  lost the first game 6-1, but came back and won the second game 4-3. Faith McCaghren got the win. 

Alyssa Ward was 2 for 5

Ashley Dyer was 2 for 4, with 2 RBIs

Abby Frazier was 2 for 4

Sydney Smith was 2 for 4 

 

The Lady Tigers will travel to York for a double header on Friday.

 

Your Tiger baseball team improved to 12-0 after sweeping York last night in a double-header. The Tigers clinched 1st place in 8AA as well. 
The game 1 score was 11-1 in 6 innings. Chris Johnson got the win striking out 10 and improved to 7-0 on the year. CJ Campbell was 3/4 with 2 doubles and  2 RBI, Wes Duffield was 2/4 with a home run and 3 RBI. Dylan Jenkins, Hunter Jones and Joey Hughes had 2 hits each. Parker Phillips had a solo home run. 
The Game 2 score was 11-0 in 5 innings. James Touchton picked up his 5th win on the mound. Hunter Jones was 3/3, CJ Campbell and Patrick Norman had 2 hits each. The Tigers play at HOME tonight against Lawrence County. Game time is 5:00. Students get in FREE!

 

Congratulations to both the Men's and Women's Tennis teams as they both won the regular season district championships last night by defeating Goodpasture.

The Women's team swept Goodpasture 7-0 with outstanding matches in doubles from Macy and Molly Speight and  the singles were won in convincing fashion.

The Men's team won 5-2 sweeping the doubles. Individual winners were Chase Owens, Nathan Zao, Fant Smith, and Zane Broden.

 

Both teams are in action this afternoon at 4:00 at Old Fort Park, when they play Stewart's Creek on Senior Night.
