The mandatory parent meeting for cheer will be on March 16th, 2026, in the senior cafeteria from 6:30-7:30 PM. One parent and the student-athlete should be in attendance. (Some students receive acceptance letters later than this date. If you miss the parent meeting, email me at [email protected], and we can meet separately.)

All students MUST be 100% complete in FinalForms to try out.Open Gyms for tryouts: April 6, 13, 20, 27, from 6-7:30. We will spend the first two days working on stunting basics. We will pay our annual fee to Premier of $50. The open gym costs $75 for 4 days. Stunting will be judged at Premier. I'll add your stunt score to your cheer, dance, jump, and tumbling score (if applicable) for your tryout total. The tryout will be on April 30th at Central Magnet HS in the gym from 3-6:30. If you are coming from another school, please email me, and I'll excuse you if you need to be tardy due to a later dismissal at your current school.
Tryout results will be posted between Friday afternoon, 5-1-26, and Sunday afternoon, 5-3-26.
Three Mandatory camp dates (Please do not try out if you cannot attend):
1. Choreography dates July 11th and 12th at Premier Athletics
2. UCA stunt Camp dates: 2 days -TBA at Central Magnet or Premier. An official time will be announced soon.
3. Stunt Camp with Moorehead at Premier TBA.
*Choreography and UCA camp times may vary- Don't schedule anything on these days.
Practice days: Monday and Thursday from 6 pm-8 pm; Wednesdays are from 3 pm-5 pm (some days we will practice from 5-7).
Please come by Coach Griggs's room (335) for information on tryouts (after March 3rd). Please fill out the necessary pages and bring them to room 335. This is due by April 27th.
