We welcome students (16-18 with parent consent), staff, parents, and community members to join us and donate!

This past weekend, Central Magnet Choir students auditioned with nearly 2,000 other students from across Middle Tennessee for the 2026 Mid-State Honor Choir. Central Magnet had a historic showing with the 2nd most students in all of Middle Tennessee selected for Mid-State, and the most students in RCS selected for an All-State Audition. This has never been done in CMS history and is incredibly rare throughout RCS. Please congratulate the following students:

Your middle school cross-country teams are going to the state championships! Last Friday in Chattanooga, the boys took runners-up in their race and the girls were sectional champs! The varsity girls representing CMS are: Adelyn, Ellen, Allie, Callyn, Nora, Rupal (ruh-PEHL), and Lucy. The varsity boys representing CMS are: Briggs, Baird, Bentley, Owen, Enzo, Wyatt, and Kyle. The junior varsity runners had a great day, too - setting lots of personal records for themselves. The season finale will be this Saturday in Clarksville.

The MS tennis team heads into their last regular season match tomorrow against Rockvale with 2 wins from last week for both boys and girls. 

This weekend, 5 players from each team spent their days at the

USTA Middle School state championship. They represented Central well with their sportsmanship and play against some really competitive teams from around the state. Congratulations and good luck.

CAMPUS SAFETY
Attention High School drivers -- We wanted to take a few moments to remind you of parking lot etiquette. First and foremost, all student drivers must have a parking pass. Secondly, all high school drivers should park in a paved/striped spot in the parking lot. Students are not allowed to park on the loop on the high school side. Last, please remember to be safe at all times: no cell phones/texting, no racing or goofing around while behind the wheel, and adhere to the parking lot speed limit of 10mph. See an administrator or Officer Sam if you have any questions.

The HS volleyball team avenged an earlier season loss to Battle Creek on Thursday night, picking up a three to one win. The Lady tigers were excellent defensively and picked up key aces from Emery Bland and Gabby Baron. They will return to action tonight with a matchup against PCA.

The MS girls soccer team took home a win in their tournament opener. The girls won 3-0 with goals added by Lydia Luna, Veronica Dichacek, and Annika Oslund. Isla Henry had a shutout in the goal! The lady tigers move to the semifinals on Monday at 6:30 at Siegel Park.

The girls golf team won their 5th straight regional title and punched their ticket to a 5th straight state championship. Lauren Powell led the team with a 76 and Emery Mitchell and Anna Powell both shot a 79. Andrew McKissick finished his freshman season scoring a 92 in his first regional tournament.

Jr. Beta Club’s “Tat the Teacher” fundraiser starts this week. From 9/22 - 9/30, temporary tattoos will be available for purchase during all lunches.

HS Cheer congratulates the winners of the People's Choice Award at the Cheer talent show on Saturday. 3rd place went to August (Marleigh) Parker, 2nd place went to Hani Abu Halimah, and 1st place went to Arlo Davis, Grayden Dabbs, and Oliver Lawrence, who performed as a band. The Golf teams played in their district tournament last Thursday. The girls earned their 5th straight district championship. Lauren Powell placed 2nd overall and Emery Mitchell placed 4th. The girls will compete for their 5th straight regional championship this Thursday. Andrew McKissick also advanced to his first regional tournament as an individual.

Your middle school cross-country runners are Rutherford County champs! Our top racers were Briggs, Baird, Bentley, Adelyn, Ellen and Allie. This Friday, the group travels to Chattanooga for their Sectional Championship. The top four teams there will be invited to the state championship on October 3.

The HS XC team ran against some tough competition at the Southern Showcase meet. Parker Ward ran a 16:18, Nate Dyer ran a 16:26, and Jason Dyer ran a 16:34 in the Boys' Championship race. Miles Rafacz ran an 18:23 and Owen Butler ran an 18:37 in the Blue race. In the girls' Championship race, Rachel Benefield ran a 19:52, Catherine Zubkus ran a 20:55, and Georgia McCasland a 21:34.

HS girls Soccer team had a big win Thursday night. It was a district game and the Tigers dominated with a convincing 6-2 win. Gabby Woods led the way with 3 goals. Madelyn Brock and Lillie Bryant also scored. Assists were by Caroline Bogle, and Abigail Woods.
They play Marshall County tomorrow with Senior night starting at 4:30. Game starts at 5:00. With a win tomorrow night the Lady Tigers will clinch the regular season district title.

The MS girls soccer team has their final regular season game tonight at home. 8th grade night will start at 4:15 with the game to follow at 4:30. If the lady tigers win tonight’s game, they clinch first place for the regular season. Students and staff get in free.

Do you need service hours? Meet Dr. Guthrie Saturday, 9/26 from 8-11 am in the courtyard for campus cleanup. Parents are welcome to work with us; bring work gloves! If you can bring rakes or yard tools that would be great! Open to all grades- 3.5 service hours given if you work the whole time!

Jr. Beta Club will be hosting a “Tat the Teacher" fundraiser. You can purchase a personalized temporary tattoo for your favorite teacher—or perhaps the teacher you just really enjoy picking on. Tattoos will cost between $1 and $3 and will be sold during all lunches Tues. 9/22-Wed., 9/30. Thurs. 10/1, participating teachers will be required to proudly wear their temporary tattoos to school for the entire day.

Goals by Madelyn Brock, Reese McDaniel and Emersyn Gusman. assist by Lillie Bryant, Madelyn Brock and Gabby Woods. This puts the Lady tigers solely in first place in the district with another district match tomorrow night away against Battle Creek. Next home match will be Tuesday 9/22 against Marshall County (Senior night).

The middle school girls soccer team defeated Rock Springs 3-0 last night bringing the season to a 10-1 record with one game left. Come out and support the girls at home next Monday night for their final regular game of the season!

The girls remain undefeated with 5 wins at the halfway point of the season, as do Ishita Gupta and Gargi Vaishnavi at 2 and 3 for the girls and Xavier Clarke at number one for the boys. The high school volleyball team lost to Watertown 3-2 on Thursday night.
They will host Oakland today, JV first serve will be at 4 PM and that game will be followed by the varsity game. As always, Central Magnet students get in free.
As a special tribute to our local heroes, there will be a special recognition between the games, all first responders and military personnel will receive free admission, free, coffee, and a free donut.

The Lady Tiger Golf Team took on Blackman yesterday at Old Fort where Stella Levine and JianJian Gao won 95-103. The boys fell to a strong Blackman squad. They were led by Justin Grissom's 88. The Tigers play Macon County in their last regular season match next Tuesday at Old Fort.

HS Volleyball - The Lady Tiger volleyball team moved to 13-2 on the season with a 3-1 district win over Forrest Tuesday night. Emery Bland: 25 kills, 11 digs, 2 aces / Lily Stuible: 6 kills and 6 blocks /Elizabeth Hamilton: 18 assists, 5 kills, 3 aces, 1.5 blocks. Back in action Thursday at home versus Watertown.

MS Volleyball - Your JV Tigers took down Cannon County in 2 sets. Eden Obayomi, Lydia Nundhal and Adalee Jackson led the team in service points while Emma Brown had a great night at the net with 3 kills! The varsity team lost in 3 tough sets, Gabby Castillo and Nora Clancy led the team in service points while Elsa Clancy was force at the net with 5 Kills. They take on Blackman tonight.

The high school cross country team ran a fantastic 5K race on Saturday! Despite the blistering heat and stifling humidity, our Tigers gave it their all and came out on top! The varsity boys won first place in their division with Parker Ward, Nate Dyer, Jason Dyer, Carson Phillips, Aaden Walker, Wyatt Fischer, and Owen Butler all running for our team. Parker Ward, Nate Dyer, and Jason Dyer earned 7th, 8th, and 9th places, respectively, out of more than 105 division runners. The varsity girls finished in third place in their division with Rachel Benefield, Catherine Zubkus, Georgia McCasland, Ollie Egli, Camilla Owens, Analyn Richards, and Olivia Pinson all running for our team. Rachel Benefield earned 5th place out of more than 89 division runners. Way to go to all our Tigers!

Your Lady Tiger Volleyball team had a big Saturday. Traveling to White County high school for the Lynn Canon invitational.. Central went 6-0 on the day; picking up wins over Tullahoma (2x), White Co., Monterrey, Whitwell, and East Hamilton, and claiming the tournament title. Your volleyball tigers hit the road today for a big District eight AA matchup at Forest before returning home on both Thursday and Friday this week.

The Lady Tigers golf team swept Riverdale Tuesday in match play. In match play, each golfer plays head-to-head against an individual from the other team. Emery, Lauren, and Anna each beat their opponent for the team win. The boys fell 4-2, but Justin Grissom won his match up, and Amaan Jemsheer and Camden Reavis tied with their opponents for a half point. In JV competition, the Tigers picked up the win after Brandon Alston and Koen Hickson defeated their opponent, while Will Goette and Dev Bhakta tied theirs. The Tigers take on Blackman next week.  BRING OUT THE BROOM

The middle school girls soccer team took home another win to bring their season to an 8-0 record. Lydia Luna added two goals to the score board with Hope Clementi hitting the final ball in the net for the lady tigers. Isla Henry had the shut out in the goal. The girls return to action for their rival game of the season tonight at Siegel. Come out and support your middle school lady tigers!

Tiger tennis girls continued their run with another 5-0 win against Siegel Tuesday. Xavier Clarke is undefeated at 3-0 at #1 for the boys. Today's match against Poplar Hill is canceled due to heat and has been rescheduled for September 16.

The Lady Tigers beat Lawrence Co 9-0 last night in district play. Goals: Chloe Huffman, Abbey Mott, Abigail Woods, Gabby Woods (3), Caroline Bogle, Ashira Perkins, Lillie Bryant.
