SUMMER WORK
Please look for the level you will be in for this coming school year (2023-2024).
Entering Level I - There is no required summer work. However, you can get a head start by going to my Quizlet page and beginning German on Duolingo.
Entering Level 2 - 1 (required)- Read Arme Anna. The PDF will be shared with you on TEAMS. You can print it from there. There will also be a vocab list with it. I recommend getting familiar with the vocab before you read each (short) chapter. You can review the list and/or practice the vocab on Quizlet. You can find the vocabulary there divided by chapters. 2 (bonus)- Review vocabulary from year 1 on Quizlet and even get familiar with vocab for level 2.
Entering Level 3 - 1 (required) Read Hannas Tagebuch - you can get a copy from Frau Boost before the end of school, or you can buy one here. Please get your copy early in the summer. Shipping sometimes takes a while. 2 (extra) Review Vocab from previous years at my QUIZLET.
3 - (extra) Listen to German music, watch/read Kinder- logo.
Entering Level IV/ AP - 1 (required) Read assigned sections in Im Land der Schokolade und Bananen and study the vocab lists. You can get a copy of the book from Frau Boost before the end of the year or you can buy your own copy on Amazon. Vocabulary lists will be posted in TEAMs. 2 - Watch/ read Kinder- logo. 3 - Listen to German music.
