1)Students finished yesterday’s discussion, and discuss possible types of FRQs.

2) If time permitted, students began discussing Conservative and Liberal stances on major issues/public policy (using “Conservative vs. Liberal” PDF on Brooks’ A.P. U.S. Government page), as well as the Left/Right Political Spectrum (using the “Left-Right Simple Political Diagram” MS WORD Doc on Brooks’ A.P. U.S. Government page).

Homework:

Study for frq quiz on Friday, 8-17-2018 (i.e. public policy, government, types of democracy, politics, Locke, Jefferson, and Articles of Confederation failures, and compromises at the Constitutional Convention).

Comparative Government

Classwork:

Students began their discussion on Chapter 1 (Intro to Comparative Government). Mr. Brooks issued a grade on the Reading/Discussion Guide.

Homework:

Study for Friday’s FRQ on political legitimacy.
