High School

 

High School Counselors provide programs and services to help the student achieve success in school. During these adolescent years, students are evaluating their strengths, skills, and abilities. The following services are provided to our students through Advisory group sessions, high school courses and individual counseling meetings:

• Organizational, study and test-taking skills
• Post-secondary planning and application process
• Career planning and goal setting
• Education in understanding self and others
• Coping strategies
• Peer relationships and effective social skills
• Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict resolution
  and study skills
• Career awareness and the world of work
• Academic plans
• Career plans
• Problem solving
• Education in understanding of self, including strengths and weaknesses

 

 ANNOUNCEMENTS

AP Testing:  If a student wants to take an AP exam in May, they must order it now.  Students will complete this form and take the payment and form to the Attendance office.  The deadline to order an ex for a class that they are taking this semester is Oct 29 at 3:00.

The LEDA organization is accepting applications for juniors.

The application for the 2021-22 United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP) is open. This opportunity is open to junior or senior high school students. Two students will be selected as Tennessee delegates to participate in the annual Washington Week experience which includes a variety of events that promote a unique understanding of the structure of the United States government.  Link to the Application
