High School


High School Counselors provide programs and services to help the student achieve success in school. During these adolescent years, students are evaluating their strengths, skills, and abilities. The following services are provided to our students through Advisory group sessions, high school courses and individual counseling meetings:

• Organizational, study and test-taking skills
• Post-secondary planning and application process
• Career planning and goal setting
• Education in understanding self and others
• Coping strategies
• Peer relationships and effective social skills
• Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict resolution
  and study skills
• Career awareness and the world of work
• Academic plans
• Career plans
• Problem solving
• Education in understanding of self, including strengths and weaknesses



The Counseling Department will be scheduling current sophomores for their junior year February 18-February 26.  This time period is only for rising juniors.  Info and dates regarding other grades will be sent in the weeks to come.   NEW THIS YEAR: You have the option to log into Skyward to add your course requests before your appointment. (If this step is not completed ahead of time, we will do that during your appointment). You will be asked to reschedule if you do not have your paper requests or Skyward requests completed at the time of your appointment. 

The procedures for scheduling are as follows:

Parents and/or students may use our SignUpGenius links below (or search by his/her counselor's e-mail addresses on the SignUpGenius website) to set up an appointment with your School Counselor.  Student’s name should be listed in the first/last name section.

College Board Bulletin for Students and Parents


Registration for AP Macro and AP Gov't semester 2 students is Jan 13-Feb 18.  Students currently enrolled in Mr. Brooks' or

Mr Walker's classes can pay for the test in attendance.  They will join the class through their MyAP account.
