High School
High School Counselors provide programs and services to help the student achieve success in school. During these adolescent years, students are evaluating their strengths, skills, and abilities. The following services are provided to our students through Advisory group sessions, high school courses and individual counseling meetings:
• Organizational, study and test-taking skills
• Post-secondary planning and application process
• Career planning and goal setting
• Education in understanding self and others
• Coping strategies
• Peer relationships and effective social skills
• Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict resolution
and study skills
• Career awareness and the world of work
• Academic plans
• Career plans
• Problem solving
• Understanding own strengths and weaknesses
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
If students want to request a class change the first two weeks of school, they must complete a form from the Counseling office and secure the needed signatures.
