Classwork:
1) Students continued and/or finished analyzing, discussing, taking notes on the Conservative-Liberal issues document (PDF on Brooks A.P. U.S. GOV web page) and on the Left-Right political spectrum (on Brooks A.P. U.S. GOV web page).
2) If time permitted students discussed and took notes on the “Big State Small State Compromises” and the “Northern State/Southern State Compromises” at the 1787 Constitutional Convention.
Homework:
Study class notes (and my Left-Right, Conservative-Liberal documents) for a quiz in which you must differentiate between a conservative-republican, liberal-democrat, and libertarian on the various issues we discussed in class as well as being able to explain the issues.Quiz will be Friday, 8-24-2018.
Classwork:
1)Students discussed commonly-missed items from yesterday’s Intro to Comp. Gov’t multiple-choice test.
2) Next, they analyzed and discussed the following: a political map of the United Kingdom, and two short video clips on the annual opening of Parliament and Prime Minister Question time, images of major PMs over the last number decades.
3) If time permitted, students began working on UK RG1.
