Classwork:

Students finished the AOC lesson and began a short lesson on the compromises at the Constitutional Convention and key clauses in the U.S. Constitution (taxing clause, supremacy clause, commerce clause, necessary and proper clause,  as well as the 9th and 10th amendment) as background information to inform their reading of Federalist 10, Federalist 51, and Brutus 1 later in the week.

Homework:

Continue reviewing all your notes for the Foundations of Government unit test, which will be on Wednesday, 

1-23-2019.


Comparative Government


Classwork:

Students discussed the following: how parliament has been compromised over the years and David Cameron’s balancing act over his government.

  Next, they created a graphic organizer on the political parties in Great Britain and how public policy is made.

Finally, students described the House of Lords and discussed the electoral system of Great Britain.


Homework:
