Students discussed FRQ action words (Brooks gave a handout). Next, they defined/discussed SCOTUS nomenclature (opinion, majority opinion, concurring opinion, dissenting opinion, and decision (i.e. ruling or opinion) Finally, students worked with partners in order to practice writing an FRQ response based upon a comparison of U.S. v. Lopez (1995) and another case they've not seen before. Various students presented their FRQ responses if time permitted. If not, they'll present tomorrow..
