Classwork:
Students worked with partners in order to compare/contrast two SCOTUS cases and answer the following questions:

A. Identify the constitutional clause common to both Tinker v. Des Moines (1969) and Schenck v. United States (1919)?
B. Explain how the facts of each case determined a different outcome (i.e.decision) in the two cases.
C. Explain how the ruling in Tinker v. Des Moines affects your life.

Homework:
Bring your your finished/polished responses to A,B, and C above so we can critique them on the Elmo. Don't forget your action words. Note the boldface/underlined words in A,B,C above. ALSO, bring Engel v Vitale SCOTUS response for in Monday, so we can briefly discuss the 1st amendment and the case as it will be the "must know" case for you solo FRQ next week.
