Classwork:
Students continued reading/analyzing/explicating and explaining the salient points of Madison's Federalist 10. A copy of Federalist 10 with numbered paragraphs is now posted on my AP U.S. Government web page.
Homework:
Review your notes on Federalist 10, three theories of democracy, and the Federalist and Anti-Federalist views on the role of the central government.
Comparative Government
Classwork:
Students discussed the gini-index (coefficient) and viewed /analyzed graphs and a video excerpt in order to explain what a gini-index is and how it is a valuable data collection tool for comparing countries. If time permitted, students began discussing the four nations in the United Kingdom, and viewed/discussed video excerpts of the opening of parliament and P.M. Question Time.
Homework:
Read Pp 281-287 on "Current issues in the United Kingdom" in your textbook.
