Classwork:
Students finished reading/analyzing/ and taking notes on the following clauses in the U.S. Constitution: taxing clause, supremacy clause, necessary and proper clause (A.K.A. the "elastic clause"), and the 9th and 10th amendments. Federalist 10 and the aforementioned clauses and amendments will be used to support the argument/counter-argument FRQ. Next, they began explicating Brutus 1.
Homework:
Review all notes in our federalism unit (i.e. three theories of democracy, notes on federal republic, Fed #10, and Brutus 1). Test is coming soon!
Comparative Government
Classwork:
Students discussed various aspects of Great Britain (i.e. gov't, parties, sovereignty, and policy) and used A.P. COMP. nomenclature (from unit 1) to describe/explain the aforementioned aspects of the British state.
Homework:
Study any G.B. notes we've taken in this unit. Test is coming.
