A.P. U.S. Government: EVEN DAY
If not finished in the last class meeting, then students did a quick recap on their homework (Tinker v Des Moines AND U.S. v Lopez). Next, they continued analyzing, discussing, and taking notes on Engel v. Vitale and other material from the civil liberties and civil rights unit, focusing mainly on the Bill of Right and Civil Rights Amendments (17th, 19th, 23rd, 24th, and 26th amendments). Depending on time restrictions, students will read/discuss/take notes on Schenck v U.S., New York Times v. U.S., McDonald V Chicago, and Gideon v. Wainwright.
