AP Comparative Government
Class Work:
Students continued their discussion on Comparative Government nomenclature, including, but not limited to power/authority (and how power/authority change either peacefully or violently)democracy, authoritarianism, several data collection indexes used to investigate relationships between course countries (HDI, GDP/GDP per capita, Gini Coefficient, Freedom House, Transparency International, and Failed State Index). They also discussed the concept totalitarian regimes) civil society, political socialization/political participation, and liberal democracy. ALSO, students DISCUSSED the reading assignment: p 31-39 and 46-50.
