Class Work:
Students participated in a class discussion on the declaration of independence (and turned in the homework assignment on the "D.O.I." ) Next, they began creating a nomenclature web listing and explaining the various types of democracy. If time permitted, they began reading analyzing/explaining and taking notes on the U.S. Constitution (the copy we're using is a MS WORD doc on my AP GOV page.

AP Comparative Government
Class Work:
Students finished working on FRQ practice. Next, they began discussing Great Britain and taking notes (institutions of government, economy, various significant Prime Ministers, etc.). In the discussion, students also utilized AP Comparative Government nomenclature (i.e. power, authority, legitimacy, transparency, etc.) to apply to various aspects of Great Britain's political system.
IF the RCS internet is up today, students examined and discussed the quantitative tools comparativists use to compare the 6 countries in the course. If the internet is still down, we'll wait to do this when it's functioning again.
Homework:
Revie Great Britain notes.
