1) Students discussed class norms AND got textbooks.

2) Next, they had a short discussion on various issues or concepts in government that they had an interest in.

3) If time permitted, students examined and discussed the political spectrum  diagram and then began reading/discussing the various political parties and their core beliefs.

Class Work:

2) Next, they had a short discussion on what they knew and what they wanted to know on the six countries in comparative government. 

3) Finally, they differentiated between the following terms/nomenclature in comparative government:

state, government, regime, country, nation, legitimacy, transparency, and liberal democracy.
