Classwork:
Students continued discussing/taking notes on the structure, powers, and rules of Congress. If time permitted, they began discussing congressional committees and/or the election cycles (primaries and general elections).
Homework:
1) Complete a SCOTUS case breakdown for New York Times v. United States (1971) in which you do the following (DUE AT THE BEGINNING OF YOUR NEXT CLASS).
a) Explain the facts of the case (DETAILED).
b) Identify the constitutional clause in the case.
c) EXPLAIN the decision in the case, including an explanation of how the constitutional clause was used in the decision.
2) STUDY YOUR "Redistricting, Reapportionment, and Gerrymandering" NOTES. THERE WILL BE A QUIZ ON THIS MATERIAL AT THE BEGINNING OF YOUR NEXT CLASS!!!!!
AP Comparative Government
Classwork: STUDY your Great Britain notes AND be prepared to do an FRQ on economic liberalization. Read Pp 126-129 in your textbook to prep for the FRQ.
Homework: Review GB notes and Maggie/Tony articles. TEST NEXT WEEK!!!! THEN on to Iran.
