AP U.S. Government
Classwork:
1) Students defined government, politics, sovereignty, and public policy.
2) Students took part in a discussion in order to generate explanations of what citizens could do if they disagreed with the decision in "Dobbs". This is a practice FRQ.
Homework:
STUDY for a short quiz on Friday based on Roe and Dobbs homework and any class notes.
AP Comparative Government
Classwork:
1) Students discussed the various responses to last nights homework (i.e. Locate and read a reputable news source (see Brooks' list "Media Sources of Record") on a major event or situation in each of the following countries: Great Britain, China, and Russia).
2) Next, students discussed/defined the following terminology: comparative government, political system, state, regime, democratic, authoritarian, government, nation, authority, and power.
