AP U.S. Government 

Classwork:
Students discussed "McCulloch" and "Lopez" from their homework assignment. If time permitted, they began discussing Congress' powers and major clauses in the Constitution.


Homework:

 Read Engel v Vitale AND Tinker v Des Moines. Then Answer the following questions for both cases. Write the questions and answers. MAKE SURE you are writing in complete sentences and that your  writing is legible ! DUE at the beginning of next class! MAKE SURE AN BRING MCCULLOCH AND LOPEZ TOO! I will take up one of them.

1) Explain the facts of the case (i.e. what happened and how did it get to SCOTUS).
2) Explain the decision in the case.
3) Identify the Constitutional clause SCOTUS used to justify their decision AND MAKE SURE to EXPLAIN HOW SCOTUS used the Constitutional clause to justify the decision in the case.




AP Comparative Government

Classwork:

1) Students got feedback on their benchmark 1 test (multiple choice) and completed a "Quantitative Analysis" FRQ.

2) After the test, students began discussing various aspects of Russia.

Homework:

Answer questions on "reading/discussion guide" aligned with the Putin article. ANSWER IN COMPLETE SENTENCES!  DUE Monday (8-29-2022) at the beginning of class.














After the test, students read Article 1 section 8, Article 6, Amendment 10, and section 1 of the 14th Amendment.
