AP U.S. Government 

Classwork:
Students discussed "McCulloch", "Lopez", "Engel", and "Tinker" from their homework assignments. Next, they continued discussing Congress' powers and major clauses in the Constitution. The discussion also involved how to use the clauses for SCOTUS FRQs.


Homework:

 Read "Wisconsin v Yoder" AND "McDonald v Chicago". Then Answer the following questions for both cases. Write the questions and answers. MAKE SURE you are writing in complete sentences and that your  writing is legible ! DUE at the beginning of next class! 

1) Explain the facts of the case (i.e. what happened and how did it get to SCOTUS).
2) Explain the decision in the case.
3) Identify the Constitutional clause SCOTUS used to justify their decision AND MAKE SURE to EXPLAIN HOW SCOTUS used the Constitutional clause to justify the decision in the case.

Homework:

STUDY authoritarianism, democracy/democratization, liberal democracy, and illiberal democracy. There will be a short FRQ over this material tomorrow (Wednesday).
