CLASSWORK:
1) Several students presented their legislative policy arguments. Also, Mr. Brooks took up the homework assignment on legislative policy arguments.
2) Students continued their class discussion and notetaking on the following material: political culture, political socialization, public policy, government institutions, policy positions for conservatives and liberals as well as a diagram of the political spectrum. Following are the policy positions for which students will be responsible for testing from the "Positions on Major Issues" document on Brooks' AP U.S. Government page:
{Abortion, Affirmative Action, Economy (including fiscal and monetary policy), Education, Energy, Global Warming/Climate Change, Gun Control, Health Care, Immigration, Religion, Same-Sex Marriage, Social Security, Taxes, and Welfare}.
