*This past Saturday amidst all of the rain, the middle school Science Olympiad team competed at MTSU against 13 other teams.  Out of 23 events, our middle school students placed in the top 3 in 10 of the events.  Congratulations to the Nathaniel Carter, Ella Edge, Hayden Staines, Connor Smith, Sami Warren, Kristin Barrett, Madisen Phongsouvanh, Grace White, and Patrick Cowart for a job well done!

 

*Any Junior who is interested in attending Boys State or Girls State this summer will need to see Mrs. Gerhart in Guidance for more information. Students must have a 3.75 or higher to be eligible.

 

 

**2019 CMS College Fair

 

The Central Magnet College Fair will be held Monday, March 4th.  Each year we provide a Hospitality room for the College Reps before the fair begins.  A couple of volunteers are needed to serve as set-up/clean-up room hosts.  The hospitality room will close at 6:00 (the event ends at 7:00). After the previous CMS College fairs, the reps who attended shared that we had the best food around....so we have a reputation to uphold!

 

 

*ATTENTION CURRENT FRESHMEN (RISING SOPHOMORES):

Counselors will be registering your grade level for classes this week. Please remember to sign up for an appointment with your counselor on their Sign-Up Genius page from the Counseling website. Please come to Guidance a few minutes, before your appointment time, with your Course Request sheet completed. Do not wait to be called.

Northfield Elementary will be having their Renaissance Festival on March 1st from 4-8pm.  If you are interested in volunteering, contact Erin Funderburk at [email protected].

 

*The softball teams will be hosting a bowling scramble at Lanes, Trains, & Automobiles next Sat the 9th from 9:30-11:30. Find a softball player and join a team. Prizes given!

 

*Congratulations to Reece Long to being named to the Boys’ First All-Region Team last night at the Middle Tennessee High School Swimming Association (MTHSSA) banquet. Reece was placed on the Boys’ First Team for placing first and second in his events at the High School Regional Meet in Nashville last month! Congratulations!
