*Any middle school student interested in trying out for MS cheer please stop by and pick up information from Mrs. Huffman's office.  There is a mandatory parent meeting on April 30 and tryouts are May 8,9,10.

*Seniors:  The Work Ethic Distinction packet and documentation is due to Guidance by March 20th.

*Attention All Students:

As usual, we will have the option for students to use reading rooms during Friday's spirit day festivities.  There is a sign up for pep rally, morning activities, and afternoon activities.  One is posted upstairs by Mr. Joyce's room for MS and auditorium doors for HS.  There are three middle school reading rooms and three high school reading rooms.  Please make note of which room you should report to when you signup.

The library will not be an option for Friday.  Students should not need to go anywhere while in the reading rooms (except the restroom).  This is not a punishment but an opportunity for students that do not enjoy noises or crowds to have a quiet location.  Once a student is in the room, he or she is to remain there until the next activity.  Attendance will be taken in each reading room.

*Students--

Due to flood days, we have extended prom ticket sales until THIS THURSDAY.

You can buy a ticket from Mrs. N. Davis in room 219.

Tickets are still $50.00 and any prom paper work is available on the prom website.

*After Prom tickets will be sold this week, through Friday, at C and D lunches.   Tickets are $10 and will include a shirt if bought by this Friday. Checks should be made out to CMS PTO.

*Attention all students.  We have a very big session in advisory coming up this week.  Seniors will be meeting in the auditorium and we will have several guests in the building for 7th graders.  Please also know that many advisory classes will meet in different

locations this week as we accommodate some grade levels needing computers for their lessons.  Listen for details on Wednesday morning's announcements or see your adviser before Wednesday's session.

*"New members of the National Honor Society will meet today in the Senior Cafeteria during club time"

*Have you always wanted to learn how to play the guitar? Do you already play the guitar, but want to get better at it? We have some exciting news to share! Jacob Hendley will be teaching guitar lessons at Central Magnet next school year. If you are interested or curious, please join us on Wednesday after school to meet him and learn more about his program. He will be in Ms. Kime's Room (213 across from the library) and would love to see you at this interest meeting.

*Addison Melton and Alex Perry were both nominated to the WGNS All County middle school basketball team!

Congratulations! We are so proud of them!

*The Lady Tigers lost to DeKalb last night. Highlights of the evening were Jasmyn Stanley going 3 for 3 and Kali Penny going 2 for 3.  The Lady Tigers take on district action at home tonight at 6:00 against Marshall Co.

*The Middle School Boys soccer team will play their first regular season game today here against Rockvale.  The game time is 4:30 for the Varsity game and the JV game will be immediately after.  Come out and support the Tigers.
