*The final AP Pre-administration session is this morning in the cafeteria.  Please report after announcements.

 

*Any graduating senior who ever attended Discovery School is invited to breakfast with your former teachers and for a congratulatory parade through the hallways. Wear your T-shirt’s from your chosen colleges.

 

Arrive at Discovery promptly at 7:30 am. Will be finished by 8:30 and back to Central by 8:45.

 

*Please come join the CMS Jazz Band as they kick off this year's JazzFest on the Square tomorrow at 6pm. Let's continue to make Central the school with the largest and best student section of the night!! See you at 6pm on Friday!!

 

*From the Library:

All high school books are due this Friday. You will have the opportunity to sign up to check out books over the summer beginning on Friday, May 17th.

 

All paperwork for the MTSU Library field trip on Monday, May 20th is due to the library by Friday, May 3rd. Paperwork will not be accepted late.

*Juniors,

A roster will be posted today outside of each of the Junior English classes as well as the library. You ARE on the field trip list for the MTSU Library if your name IS highlighted. ALL juniors need to check the list today and see the librarians if you have any questions.

 

*The Lady Tigers softball team will be hosting Marshall Co for round 1 of the district tournament tonight at 6:00. Location is McTiger Field 1 at McKnight Park.

 

*On Tuesday night, the Tiger's baseball team dropped their final home game by a score of 12-7. Matthew Fleishman worked 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief. Joseph Bonanno pitched a scoreless 7th. Patrick Norman was 2 for 3 with a home run and 3 rbi. Hayden Petty drove in 3 runs with a double. Patrick Jones also collected two hits. The Tigers start district tournament play tonight vs. Marshall County at home at 5:00.

 

*The middle school Tigers baseball lost to top rated Stewarts Creek Tuesday 8 to 0. Landon Martin, McClain Martin and Dawson McCrary collected hits for the Tigers.

The Tigers bounced back Wednesday with a solid 3 to 1 win over Rocky Fork middle.

Tristan Seputis pitched his third solid outing in a row from the mound going 6 strong innings scattering 4 hits giving up one run.

Adam Apigian was 1 for 1 with two walks and played a strong defensive SS for the Tigers. Hayden Griggs was 1 for 3 with an RBI and Will Becker, Landon Martin and Dawson McCrary chipped in with hits.

The Tigers play Rock Springs this afternoon

 

*Dance team clinic is tomorrow after school from 3:15-5:30 and tryouts are Tuesday, May 7. All participants should wear black leggings, a Central t-shirt, and jazz shoes or tennis shoes. See Ms. Cindy Davis or the website if you have questions.

 

*"The Central Magnet Middle School Track team is State bound! There were some stellar performances in the Class A Sectional on Wednesday.  Highlights included scorching times set by the girls 4x100 and 4x200 teams, made up of Claudia Mitchell, Reily Gusman, Julia Ann Hamilton, and Noella Obi.  These ladies placed 2nd in the 4x100 and 1st in the 4x200. Harper Guthrie hurdled over the competition, snagging the second-place spot in the 100m hurdles. Reily Gusman ran her way into second place in the 200m open.  The girl's 4x400m team of Ella Anderson, Emmaline Whitt, Bridget Goins, and Harper Guthrie also placed 2nd at Sectionals. In distance events, Mikayla Morrel, Emmaline Whit, Ella Anderson, Tony Peck, and Vinny Peck all secured spots on the state team. Numerous runners scored personal records and in maybe the most memorable event of the night, the guy's 4x400m team of Ben Clemence, Reed Pullias, Vinny Peck, and Tony Peck ran the event TWICE, securing a berth at the State Meet. The Track Tigers will be back in action on May 18 at the State Meet."
