Any juniors attending the field trip to MTSU on Monday, May 20th have until 3:00 today to turn in paperwork. Late forms will not be accepted.
The library will be closed fifth period today.
*For Juniors: you can check outside of your English class or outside the library to make sure your name is on the list to attend the MTSU field trip. Lists posted Friday have been updated to show any juniors that were added to the list on Thursday.
*The Central Magnet Dance Team's clinic is today after school until 5:30. An informational question and answer session will follow at 5:30 for prospective members. Tryouts are Tuesday after school until 5.
*Middle school softball players need to turn in their clean jerseys to Coach Stanley ASAP.
*Any student that is interested in trying out for Middle School Softball for the 2020 season should go to the Middle School softball website and fill out the tryout form. All tryout information is posted on the website.
*The Lady Tigers defeated Marshall Co last night 9-6 in their first round of district tournament play. Kali Penny was 4 for 4 with 6 RBI’s, Jasmyn Stanley was 3 for 3 with 2 runs, and Abby Griffin was 2 for 4. Faith McCaghren got the win on the mound, with Caitlin Dodson earning the save with 3 shutout innings.
The Lady Tigers travel to Forrest tonight for round 2. Game time is 5:00.
*The Central Magnet Tiger soccer team opened postseason play with an 11-2 win over Marshall Co. Jorge Graniel and Wills McAdams both had hat tricks. Will Carver, Nathan Clark, Asher Feltz, Jordan McGoffin, and Julian McMillian each scored a goal. Rusell Harper had 5 saves in goal. Central will play next in the District Semifinal next Tuesday.
*The middle school golf teams wrapped up their regular season yesterday at Indian Hills against PCA and Christiana. Eli Austin led the boys with Nathan Carter posting the second lowest score. Caitlin Reeves led the girls team while Ellis Young and Reagan Warren tied for the second lowest score of the day. They will play in the district tournament next Tuesday at Cedar Crest.
*Your Tiger baseball team defeated Marshall County 10 to 0 in the first round of the district tournament last night. Brady Sing-Koo-Many got the Win on the mound pitching 5 and 2/3 innings and striking out 6. Dawson Massengale and Steph Laird had 2 hits and 2 RBI each. Matthew McDaniel also had 2 hits. The Tigers will travel to Nolensville Tonight for the second-round game. Game time is 7:00.
