For those interested in joining Senior BETA club this year, application packets are now available on the Senior BETA web page. Submit all application materials in a manila envelope to Ms. Frazer in room 104 by Thursday, August 29th. No late submissions will be accepted. If you have questions, please contact Ms. Frazer or Mr. Boynton.
CMS HOSA will sponsor our 1st drive of the school year on Thursday, 8-29 from 7:30 to 1:00 in the gym. You may donate if you are 16 (with parent consent) and 17 & up. There is a link to the sign up on the CMS homepage & HOSA webpage! Each donation saves 3 lives & you help increase our Senior HOSA Scholarship money with each donation! Red, White & Blue theme!!
High School Fall Play Auditions will be August 21st at 3:30 in room 344. Please see Miss Andersen if you have any questions.
Attention all freshmen. If you are interested in running for a class office position, there will be mandatory interest meetings on Friday of this week. You must attend one of these meetings: 7:30am in Ms. Hines room, your 5th period study time in Mr. Nichols' office, or 3:15pm in Ms. Hines' room. If you will be absent on Friday, please email Mr. Nichols.

If you are a middle schooler interested in running for Student Council, there will be a mandatory meeting this Friday. You can come at either 7:30 am, D Study Hall, or right after school. We will be meeting in Mrs. Miller's room. Please see Mrs. Miller for any questions.
Sophia and Zach will announce that the MUN and YIG interest meeting will be in Mr. Brooks room (130) on Thursday, 8-15-19. They will announce this Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings.
All class change requests require a form, which is located outside of Guidance. Any changes to add a new class must be submitted by Aug. 21. Any changes to drop levels or for a study hall must be submitted by Sept. 4. See your counselor for questions.
Students: Rutherford County Schools has implemented a new app/web service called STOP IT. Students will be able to report incidents of bullying through this service anonymously. To use STOP IT, download the app and enter the access code. The access code for CMS is : RCSCENTRAL You will then be able to file a report.
There will be a bowling interest meeting Wednesday August 14th starting at 3:10 in room 205. The meeting will be over by 3:30 so please arrange pickup. If you are interested and can not attend please see coach Joyce before the 14th.
There will be a Swim Team interest meeting on Monday, August 19th at 3:15 PM in Ms.Heller's room (Room 238). Both potential swimmers and parents are welcome. Talk to or email Coach Heller if you are not able to attend.
The MS Girls soccer team ended the preseason with a 9 to 0 win over Thurman Francis. Reily Gusman had 4 goals Julia Ann Hamilton had 3 and Claudia Mitchell had 2. Claudia Mitchell, MiKayla Nolan, and Julia Ann Hamilton had 2 assists and Ayana Perry had one. Mikayla Harris had 2 saves. The JV team lost 4 to 0. Sophia Stringfield had 3 saves while Alyssa Lanier had 4 saves. The regular season starts this Friday at Siegel Park at 4:30 against Oakland.
Players will announce- High School soccer match at 5:30 this evening against Lavergne. Everyone gets in free.
